Santa Barbara BBQ Food Truck

Okay, so it's more of a trailer, but I'm going to call it a Food Truck.
After an energizing game of tennis this past weekend, my boyfriend and I were on our way back to the house when I saw a sandwich board sign on the side of the road and it read - The New Black - and had a big arrow pointing to the parking lot on the Mesa, behind the Cliff Room and Rose Cafe. I was delighted to see a black and silver food truck ready for some customers. A quick u-turn and I was at the window, already salivating.

The New Black cooks up "progressive American BBQ". Only 2 months old and busting out some mighty tasty sandwiches! As I was starving, I totally forgot to note down exactly what I was ordering...but I do know that we got the Kobe brisket and the Kurobuta pork (Jidori chicken was the third option). Both came with red cabbage and what I assume are homemade pickles as they were nice and tangy. The rolls were real fresh and the flavors were strong and unique. Highly enjoyable and satisfying. Didn't get any sides (coleslaw, potato salad, or beans), but next time I will!
